Two Lakes Or Not To Lakes?
When one nice sunny day turned into two it felt wrong to continue on our busy travels so we stopped for a couple of days to relax. If sunny days continue to equal limited travel progress we might in in trouble come spring!
We started Sunday with the intention to read, have a long lie in and generally do very little. However, after only a few hours in the morning of the busy road and the aggressive Italian drivers we decided it might be best to move on (despite the very pretty lake Como). Ft. an incredibly stressed out Rob trying to read
After another deeply stressful drive on Italian roads, I worry that this is becoming a trend, we stopped off at Lake Pusiano to soak up some more nice Alpine mountains before we head down into the belly (or perhaps boot) of Italy. It was even warm enough to sit outside in a T-shirt!
After really enjoying this park up on Sunday night we decided it would be an excellent spot for a bit of Moira maintenance. Classically biting off more than we could chew we disassembled the bed and did several odd jobs about the van to get her ship-shaped and ready for the next phase of our travelling.
Moira all sorted, we headed to the largest Spar known to man (or I guess us) and picked up plenty of pasta and basil for some very Italian home cooking over the coming days
Finally accepting that we needed to get back on the road we headed to Milan, only to be scared off by the confusing roads, awful parking, and possibly clean air zone? In lieu of Milan we headed slightly further down south to the historical town of Pavia to get some good old fashioned history museum action tomorrow. Who knows, maybe we'll do Milan the day after via train?
Interspar sounds faintly terrifying
